This kid buried his head on my shoulder.
He was fast asleep. On the jet airplane.
I wanted to say, “Hey brother, your father is on the other side.”
But little Mexican boy was much too young to be my brother.
Still, I wanted to say “brother”, as if I were Hulk Hogan
Exclaiming to Mean Gene, “Let me tell you something brother”
As if I were a 10 year old.
Remembering when the Hulkster used to do away with the bad guys
An old person, but kid at the same time
Maybe “brother” wasn’t far off
One young in age. Another young in spirit
Both seeking rest
Dreaming of pile drivers
On this incredibly uncomfortable airplane
